Trout Fishing at Kasba – Quite simply the best
I don’t know how many times I’ve been told by guests at the lodge how different and unexpectedly amazing Lake Trout fishing at Kasba Lake is when compared to targeting the same species in southern waters. The Lake Trout at Kasba are numerous, ferocious, and most importantly – shallow. Sight casting Lakers north of the 60th parallel is something you must experience to truly believe. To see the crystal clear and crisp Northern waters of Kasba teeming with elusive shadows of hungry Lake Trout is enough to make any angler drool with delight.
Armed with a five-of-diamonds, a blue/silver pixie, or a hand-tied Kasbinator Trout streamer for those fly-fishermen out there, there is really no limit to how many feisty Trout a person can catch on Kasba Lake. All too often one can find the islands right in front of the lodge boiling with fins, swirls, and aerobatics as the Lakers feed heavily on the yearly spawn of Cisco.
Lake Trout fishing at Kasba is something that needs to be on every anglers’ wish-list. Period.
